PRIVACY AND CHILDREN’S PRIVACY POLICY AND COOKIES POLICY

We, at Airside Andy Limited (“Airside Andy”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operate and provide mobile application software (“App”) as part of, and in conjunction with, our website www.airsideandy.com (“Website”). We believe it is important for you to know what types of information we collect when you or your child downloads or streams a copy of our App onto your mobile device or accesses our Website and how we treat information we may receive from you or your child.

By using our App or Website you are agreeing to the collection and use of personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our End User Licence Agreement (EULA) and our website Terms of Use.

Welcome

Welcome to parents, teachers and other concerned adults. Our app is hosted by Apple and/or Google and our website is hosted by Airside Andy Ltd of registered office Sandown Sports Park, More Lane, Esher, Surrey KT10 8AN. Through our app, with parental permission, children can participate in a virtual online environment, giving them the opportunity to create an avatar to play in a busy airport environment, customise it, and make it their own. The avatar plays games, explores the airport and helps with the loading and unloading of planes and other activities to keep the airport running efficiently. Kids who play the games have a chance to earn virtual currency. Kids can “buy” costumes and fun functionality for their avatars. At Airside Andy we also provide kids with the ability to have controlled communications, using limited, predetermined text messages with their chosen friends.

In this policy we describe what information we collect, how we collect it, and what we do with it (the policy covers only information collected and used on airsideandy.com). Both Apple and Google will collect information through iTunes and Google Play and we would recommend you visit their Children’s Privacy Policy. http://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/
http://www.google.com/intl/en-GB_uk/policies/privacy/

Children under the age of 13, or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, are not permitted to create their own Apple IDs, unless their parent provided consent through the Apple ID for Students Program or as part of the child account creation process in Family Sharing.

Airside Andy strives to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, (COPPA) a U.S. law that governs the use and collection of information online from kids under 13. To learn more about this law, and about how to protect your kids on interactive online websites, visit http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/tech/tec08.shtm for information from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, as well as http://www.onguardonline.gov/socialnetworking_youth.html

What Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Registration

When users, including children under 13, register and create an avatar, we ask them to create a name for their avatar, and to provide his or her parent or guardian’s email address for purpose of parent authorisation. In the interactive community features, no additional personally identifying information is required.

We limit the information we collect, both actively (i.e., what we ask kids) and passively (what we collect through use of web tracking mechanisms like “cookies”) to that which is necessary for kids to take part in a particular game activity.

Airside Andy uses the parent or guardian’s email address provided at registration to notify parents that their kids have created an avatar and an account with Airside Andy. In that initial notice, parents are provided a link to this privacy policy, and details about how their kids can use Airside Andy. Parent verification must be provided within 10 days of registration. Kids accounts will be deactivated if no parent verification is provided within this time. Kids usernames that have been created will not be shown live until Airside Andy moderators have approved given names and parent verification has been accepted.

Parent email addresses are used to communicate with parents about their kids in relation to their activity at Airside Andy such as a forgotten password.

Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians of children under 13 who are members of Airside Andy have certain rights under COPPA, and we recognise those rights. Parents/guardians can consent to collection and use of a child’s personally identifiable information (PII) without consenting to the disclosure of information to third parties. Currently the only identifiable information we collect from children is the parent email address. We will not knowingly register children under 13 years old without parental consent. Without consent, a child under 13 cannot use any of the community features. If a parent does not provide consent, we will delete the information provided during the registration process within a reasonable time period.

A child’s participation or access to an activity on our site is not conditioned on their providing more Personal Information than is reasonably necessary for the activity.

Parents/guardians can review information their children have contributed, request that we delete that information, and refuse to allow us to collect further information from their kids by contacting our Customer Services department by email at [email protected].
Parents should include their kid’s avatar name and the registered (parent’s) email address in the email so we can better assist them with their inquiry or request. We may ask additional questions or take other steps to verify the identity of parents/guardians before responding to a request to review or delete their kid’s information, or a request to refuse further collection from kids.

Children’s privacy

We believe it is very important to protect the privacy of children’s personal information. We detail below how we collect personal information about your child when your child downloads or streams a copy of our App or uses our Website and how we will obtain your consent, as the parent or guardian of the child, to do this.

Steps we take to protect your child

As part of the registration process, we will ask for the e-mail address of the parent or guardian of the child who will use our App. We will use this e-mail address to obtain the parent or guardian’s consent to the opening of the child’s account and provide in-App purchase or security notifications.

We take the following steps to help protect your child’s personal information:
we will not transfer your child’s personal information to third parties;

all interactive communication is by way of pre-determined messaging. We do not provide players with the ability to interact in a free chat manner. Notwithstanding, we have profanity filters and in-house moderators to moderate all users and usernames, and are working with organisations CRISP and Parentzone to provide an underlying framework of safety to protect all our users;

to help you manage your child’s use of our Website and App, and in-App purchases in particular, we are working hard to provide a free downloadable parental control tool and will update this Privacy Policy when we have more details; and

if we collect personal information about you or your child through the use of our App or Website, we will only retain that information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the activity requested, or as may be required by law.
